A busy night again for Chicago Blackhawks prospects saw a clash in Ann Arbor between Minnesota and Michigan–which meant Sam Rinzel and Oliver Moore versus Frank Nazar. We’ll start there.

Michigan coughed up a third period lead and fell to the Golden Gophers 4-3 Friday night. After Frank Nazar opened the scoring and the Wolverines added a pair of power play markers to take a 3-1 lead, the Golden Gophers reeled off three unanswered to take the first of two this weekend.
Moore and Rinzel were held off the scoresheet.
Gavin Hayes and the Flint Firebirds lost their second straight game, and Hayes’ 12-game point streak was ended as a result. Regardless, he still has 17 points (10-7) in 15 games and based on the pace he’s on, he’s still ahead of last year’s 81 point, 41 goal performance.
Fellow Blackhawks prospect Paul Ludwinski tallied three assists in Kingston’s in a 5-3 win over Sarnia. Ludwinski now has 17 points (7-10) in 14 games. Erie won 4-3 in overtime, but Martin Misiak was held off the scoresheet as well–also for the first time in awhile. Fellow prospect Alex Pharand also failed to register a point for Sudbury.
In Brantford, the Bulldogs beat Niagara 5-3 and Nick Lardis added to more points to his total for season with a pair of assists. He now has 13 points on the season, nine of them goals.
